The A1 Tool Corporation Story
A History of Engineered Solutions
In 1946, injection molds were just beginning to become prevalent in the industry and Norm Sauey was insightful enough to recognize this, founding A1 Tool Corporation in his garage. The business quickly outgrew its space and rented its first official location in 1948. With business continuing to grow, A1 was ready to build its own 3,000 square foot factory building in 1949.

Expansion and Growth
A1 enjoyed steady and increasing revenue throughout the 1950s and 1960s, eventually expanding in the 80,000 square foot buildings we are in today. During the 1960’s, 1970’s and 1980’s the business changed hands a couple times until it was acquired by Triangle Tool Corporation, where Geoff Luther served his apprenticeship.

Leading A1 to Success
Serving different markets, A1 was sold to Geoff Luther in 1993. With his background in engineering and programming, Geoff served as President, ultimately leading the company to success as the CEO. He continues to serve as A1’s CEO today.
